For those who do not know, Becky and Chris spent a week last fall taking classes from Ros Stallcup. They have offered to teach what they learned from Ros.

Surface fee: $29 must be ordered and paid for at Feb meeting
The Hydrangea’s will be painted on a tin coal bucket. The bucket used by Ros was basecoated white, but if you would prefer to have a dark background, that is up to you. It will look lovely either way. If you would rather bring your own piece to paint on Chris has no problem with that, but you will need to fit the pattern on your piece by yourself.
The coal buckets can be ordered from Painters Paradise and Chris will do that for you (the cost is $29 and includes postage), but she will need to have your payment at the February meeting for the piece.

This is a beautiful piece painted on 3 different wooden 3” deep boxes that can be hung close together or farther apart. It is a study of many different flowers and leaves and is very relaxing to paint. The flowers are not detailed, but rather free-flowing. You definitely will enjoy painting this piece! This is the project Becky will be teaching. The cost of the wood pieces is $25 and you will pay Becky directly at the Feb meeting if you want the pieces.
Cost of EACH class -
members is $20.00 and $30.00 for non-members
You will give Julie or Shirley a check payable to HOMDA for the class fees ($20/day members).
You will give a check to Becky directly for her surface ($25) and/or a check directly to Chris for her surface ($29).
The chapter will provide the paints. Both projects will be at the February meeting for you to see and we will be taking sign-ups with payment at that time due to the fact there is not another meeting before their classes. Class size will be limited to 25.
If you sign up for the class you will receive a special mailing with location and times for the classes prior to the classes in March.
Kim Hogue August 10 and 11 –
Kim Hough seminar is August 10th and 11th. The Friday project has already been chosen but we will be voting on Saturdays project at the February meeting. Fridays was chosen based on Kim’s recommendation because it teaches all her techniques in one project.
The cost of the class is 45.00 each day for members 55.00 each day for non – members.
We will have a prep night for Kim’s classes – date to be determined – probably the weekend before the classes. I will have surface fees after I contact her and let her know what we have chosen.

Cost for the seminar is 30.00 each day for members and 40.00 each day for non-members.
We will vote on the projects at the meeting and then I can get a surface cost to you for each project. If we need a prep night after I let her know what we have chosen I will get that information out to all that have signed up in a special email or next newsletter.
